Wilmot, New Hampshire September 13,
2010 - Tim
vanBlommesteyn, Independent candidate for US Congress representing New
Hampshire's 2nd Congressional District today announced that he has
qualified to be on November's ballot. On September 3, 2010 Karen
Ladd, Assistant Secretary of State for New Hampshire, notified the campaign that 1,678 nomination
papers had been received by her office thus qualifying Tim for the
November ballot. Tim received support from more than 100 cities and
towns around the district from the North Country to Keene, Nashua, and
Salem in the South.
vanBlommesteyn has
centered his campaign on issues of critical concern to all New Hampshire
residents including:
In making
the decision to run for Congress, Tim looked to his own daughter and his
concern for her future if our government continues its current deficit
spending spree while failing to make hard choices to rein in entitlement
programs, and others, that will bankrupt the country.
"We
deserve a government that secures the future not just for the next
political cycle, but for generations to come. Our children and the
generations that follow them will not judge us by what we say, but by
what we do. They won't care if our politics are to the right or left
but they will know if we moved our country forward or backward."
-Tim vanBlommesteyn
